“Breaking down the politics of generating a soca hit”

Assignment

With the sounds of Trinidad and Tobago powering over that of small-island soca, I visit Barbados during the 2018 Crop Over season by way of Barbados Tourism and Marketing, Inc. to discover more about their soca scene, the Grand Kadooment festival and their place within the soca music industry for (the now-defunct) On the A. Side.
